Bashir El-Rufai, a son of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has called for the scrapping of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.




Bashir, said the body should be replaced with educators who care about the welfare of students.

Court Stops Buhari, NBC From Shutting Down Stations

The Federal High Court in Lagos has stopped President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) from revoking the licenses of 53 broadcast stations in the country, and shutting down the stations for allegedly failing to renew their 



licenses.




Honourable Justice Akintayo Aluko (Court 8) today granted an order of interim injunction following the hearing of an argument on motion exparte by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).



Most Presidential Candidates Are Out To Loot Nigeria, Says Wike

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has said some politicians canvassing for votes to win 2023 presidential election do not mean well for the country as they were only out to loot national treasury.




He maintained that he was in a privileged position to know better, and will reveal their identities at the appropriate time so that Nigerians can use their votes to reject them.




Wike spoke on Monday at the flag-off of internal road projects that held at Rumuesara, Eneka town, in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State.




Atiku Abubakar Donates N50M To Flood Victims At Kantin-Kwari Market In Kano

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has donated N50 million to victims of flooding at Kantin-Kwari market in Kano.




He made the donation on Monday, in Kano at an event to receive Ex-Kano State Governor, Sen. Ibrahim Shakarau, into the fold of the party from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
