Hulu has renewed a popular TV show for two more seasons.
The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball is an animated series created by Ben Bocquelet. A revival of Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball show, the series premiered on Hulu this past July, while the second season is scheduled to debut in less than a week.

As announced on Twitter, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball has been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4. No release date information is yet available.
Vanessa Brookman, GM, International Kids, Animation and Franchise, said in a statement, via Televisual, “The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball has proven completely irresistible to families and fans across the globe, making it the easiest of decisions to say an emphatic yes to this new season. I am thrilled to continue to work with Ben, Sarah and the hugely talented Gumball team on bringing more Wonderful Weirdness to our Cartoon Network audiences internationally.”
Sarah Fell, SVP & Studio Head, Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe added, “Gumball has been a massive success for the studio, and it’s been so gratifying to see fans enthusiastically welcome these characters back to their screens. Ben Bocquelet, Erik Fountain, Matt Layzell, and the incredibly creative team were instrumental to its success, and I’m excited we get to deliver even more wonderful weirdness. Thankfully, this time fans won’t have to wait seven years.”
The synopsis for Season 2 reads, “The Watterson family is back to prove that reality is just a suggestion in their wonderfully weird world. Gumball, Darwin, and the town of Elmore are more chaotic, hilarious, and bizarre than ever before, navigating a fresh wave of absurdity. This season tackles a promposal involving Penny faking her own death, outright pandemonium with wild animals invading the suburbs, and a witchy student cult attempting a yearbook séance. It’s pure satire and endless hijinks.”
The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball Season 2 premieres on December 22, 2025.
